Your Mallorca Queen Stage

Which route should be the big and brilliant ride in cycling paradise?

Which cycle route is going to be the Mallorca Queen Stage of your visit? Which route should be the big and brilliant ride on your trip to cycling paradise? Which one should be the highlight of your trip? Which one should be your own personal Queen stage? Which one will be the one that makes the memories?

One route towers head and shoulders above the others.

It is without a doubt the best cycle route in Mallorca, and it is the one that deserves to be your Mallorca Queen stage. It is the ride between Andratx and Port de Pollença.

For those staying in the North of the island we provide scheduled bike buses from Alcudia and Puerto Pollensa to the start in Andratx.

All transport must be booked in advance. The bike bus schedule is here.

Recommend return routes from Andratx, bus out and bike back on a return distance of between 115km (2400m climbing) and 162km (4300m climbing):

Return via the vanilla coastal route for 115km and 2400m of climbing.

  • add Port des Canonge for an additional 10 km and 320m of climbing.
  • add Port Valldemossa for an additional 10km with 310m of climbing
  • add Port Sa Calobra for an additional 25km and 800m climbing
  • or put them all together for the Big Daddy Challenge of 8 classified cols and 162km / 4300m

Return via the Orient Valley for 142km and 2600m of climbing that includes the Col de Soller, Col d’Honor and Col d’Orient.

When you should do your Mallorca Queen Stage?

We suggest doing it earlier rather than later in your stay. Even with 308 sunny days a year, if the weather decides not to play ball on your chosen day you at least have a backup day so you do not miss out.
During the spring and autumn our scheduled bike buses depart daily. The service is popular so we advise booking as soon as you have your flight booked.

Where to stop

There are quaint towns with a wide choice of cafes and restaurants every hour or so. Estellencs, Banyalbufar, Deià, Sóller and Port Sóller are amongst the favourites to stop and refuel at.

Mallorca Cycle Shuttle - 300+ scheduled bike buses each year to the start of the bucket list routes; Mallorca Bicycle Rescue in case bike or body break down; 365/24/7 Private airport transfers for cyclists and now the Sa Calobra Express for PB attempts with fresh legs.
