Are you up for the Mallorca Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge this season? Choose a route of between 122km and 175km.

Ride from Port de Pollença to Sant Elm along the spine of the Serra de Tramuntana mountains on the Mallorca Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge, completing the additional climbs of Sa Calobra, Port Valldemossa, Port des Canonge and Cala Estellencs for an epic challenge that you can complete in your own time at your own pace before taking your pre booked bike shuttle from Sant Elm back to Port de Pollença.

There is climbing. A lot of it. The word “unrelenting” has been used to describe the Mallorca Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge more than once, which gives you an idea! There are 9 classified cols to get your bike and smile/grimace over, all surrounded by some of the best Mallorca scenery of mountains, forest and coastal views across the Med (all the way to Barcelona on clear days).

When are scheduled bike buses from Sant Elm to Port de Pollença available?

If your fuel of choice is excellent coffee with the occasional nibble of sweet cake or tasty tapas, the Mallorca Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge route has got you covered as there are numerous brilliant villages such as Estellencs, Banyalbufar, Deià, Valldemossa, Port Valldemossa, Felanitx, Sóller and many more that appear approximately every hour with all the ameneties, refreshment stops and choices that you may need.

If you choose to stop at any of the Ports, just remember you are at sea level and the only way out for you and all your consumed food is up! We recommend eating light and taking more food with you for after the climb.

It must be noted that the Mallorca Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge is not for everyone (otherwise it wouldn’t be called a challenge, of course). It is extremely hard, and a fantastic achievement. Our advice is that if you are not fit enough, then get fit enough! This will be one of the routes you remember forever, a route that will make lifelong memories, your own personal sportive and with better scenery, better road surfaces and better weather than most!
